Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) new office-bearers of 2010 – 2011 met with His Excellency Mr. Ajai Malhotra Ambassador of India to Kuwait in his his esteemed office on 21 April, 2010 at 4:00 P.M.

H.E. the Ambassador welcomed all office bearers (Mr. N. A. M. Abdul Aleem, President, Mr. A. Hidayathulla, Vice-President, Mr.Avoor A. Basheer, General Secretary, Mr. Alwany Abdul Razack, Deputy General Secretary and Treasurer Mr. H. Jahir Hussain)

The meeting was very fruitful and they interacted on many aspects in Kuwait and India including TMCA activities, the common problems of Indians particularly in the domestic sector.

The Ambassador expressed his pleasures and satisfactions over TMCA's saying that ‘among other associations, the TMCA is always stands out’. The incumbents informed the forthcoming services and activities such as Educational Awareness which is going to take place on May 20, 2010.

புதுச்சேரி சட்டமன்ற பட்ஜெட் உரையில் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட முஸ்லிம் களுக்கான 2.5 சதவீத தனி இடஒதுக்கீட்டை உடனே அமல் படுத்த வலியுறுத்தி தமிழ்நாடு முஸ்லிம் முன்னேற்ற கழகத்தின் சார்பாக காரைக்கால் மாவட்டம் தழுவிய இருசக்கர சீருடை வாகன ஊர்வலம் நடைபெற்றது. ஊர்வ லத்திற்கு மாவட்ட துணை தலைவர் எஸ்.யூசுப்கான் தலைமை வகித்தார்.

காரைக்கால் மாவட்ட பொரு ளாளர் பி.ஷாஜஹான், மாவட்ட துணை செயலாளர் எச்.அப்துல் காசிம், மாவட்ட செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர் எ.லியாக்கத் அலி, புதுச்சேரி மாவட்ட செயற்குழு உறுப்பினர் அப்துல் ஜப்பார் கான் ஆகியோர் முன்னிலை வகித் தனர். மாவட்ட தொண்டரணி செய லாளர் முஹம்மது ஜியாவுதீன் ஊர்வலத்தை ஒருங்கிணைத்தார், காரைக்கால் மாவட்டம் வாஞ்சூரில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட ஊர்வலத்தை சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர் வி.எம்.சி. சிவக்குமார் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.வாஞ்சூரில் தொடங்கிய ஊர்வலம் போலகம், திருபட்டினம், நிரவி, காரைக்கால், திருநள்ளார், சேத்தூர், அம்பகரத்தூர், நல்லம்பல், கருக்கன்குடி, நெடுங்காடு, கோட்டுச்சேரி வழியாக 100 கிலோ மீட்டர் பயணம் செய்து காரைக்கால் பேருந்து நிலையத்தை சென்றடைந்தது, மாவட்ட செயலாளர் ஐ. அப்துல் ரஹீம், புதுச்சேரி மாவட்ட தலைவர் அப்துல் ரஜாக், கழக பேச்சாளர் எம்.முஹம்மது ஹாஜி ஃபிர்தவ்ஸி ஆகியோர் கோரிக்கை உரை நிகழ்த்தினர். முடிவில் நகர செயலாளர் எம்.முஹம்மது நஜிமுதீன் நன்றி கூறினார்.

ஊர்வலத்தில் மாவட்ட மாணவரணி செயலாளர் எஸ்.நியாஜ் அஹமது, நிர்வாகிகள் எம்.ஜலாலுதீன், முஹம்மது ஹாஜா அலாவுதீன், பாவா பஹ்ருதீன், சர்புதீன், முஹம்மது சபுருதீன், உட்பட நூற்றுக்கணக்கானோர் இரு சக்கர வாகனத்தில் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.த.மு.மு.க.வின் தொடர் போராட்டத்தின் விளைவாக, கடந்த 11-4-2010 அன்று சட்டசபையில் முதல்வர் வைத்திலிங்கம் பேசும் போது, முஸ்லிம்களுக்கு 2.5 சதவீத தனி இடஒதுக்கீட்டு அரசாணை இந்த மாத இறுதிக்குள் வெளியிடப்படும் என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Save your citizenship through Census 2011 Appeals Federation of Minorities’ NGOs

Mumbai: Census 2011 has already begun from 1st April 2010 nationwide. This census is different from ones in the past and very exclusive in style.

While addressed a press conference, today, at Marathi Patrakar Sang (Mumbai Press Club), the leaders of the Federation of Minorities NGOs (FMN) – Maul. Mahmood Daryabadi, Dr. Azimuddin, Maul. Burhanuddin Qasmi, Mr. Salim Alware, Dr. SK Abdullah and Mr. Iqbal Memom, have urged all NGO activists, especially those from Muslims NGOs to fully volunteer their skill and time to the on going census 2011 in India.

The leaders have requested all members of the community to note the followings and take part in the census process. They said, an enrolment in the census enables an individual to be 'the citizens' of the country. The census 2011 will help decide numbers of BPL people in 2013. Moreover, this census is collecting Photos of above 15 age-group along with Biometric Identity and the databank collected by the census will be used by the Unified Identity Authority of India (UIDAI). If any once fails to get into the data-Bank he will be out of UIDAI which is an indirect proof of 'Citizenship' for every individual. Furthermore, all the future 'Planning' and Budget allocations against particular, community or caste will be based on this databank.

The FMN is launching a statewide awareness campaign in Maharashtra from today itself through its 100 plus member NGOs to educate common people to ensure their complete and correct entries during the census, the leaders said in the press conference. Maulana Burhanuddin Qasmi said that the census authority of India should train its enumerators through effective workshops to minimize common mistakes like wrong spellings of Muslim names and filling in wrong religion, language or caste etc.

The Federation of Muslims NGOs believes that for effective planning precise information about religious, social and economic conditions is essential. Our nation can effectively plan political, educational, social and economic development on the basis of correct information. Therefore, social activists must ensure detail entries of the data correctly.

Every educated Indian must cooperate in this massive task so that we may know ourselves correctly. Precise data is more important for minorities and marginalized sections. Caste based census was done last time in 1931. That is why there is a growing need for it now to reassure all statistics. If we update caste figures greater justice can be provided for marginalised people.

Every citizen should be alert about information which is being recorded. He/she must check and verify the forms which are being filled by enumerators. No room should be given to dishonest manipulators who are doing a disservice to nation and truth by incorrect data entry. The Maharashtra Federation of Minorities NGOs requests all not for profit activists, through this press conference to offer their services during 1st May to 15th June for 2011 census in Maharashtra.
