Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) hosted a large and traditional Grand Iftar Banquet (Ramadan 2010) which was held on 27 Aug. 2010 from 4:00 pm onwards in Kuwait Teachers Society, Dasma , Kuwait . Chief Guest of this grand event Mr. K. Narasing Rao (Counsellor, Embassy of India, Kuwait) who represented H.E. Ajay Malhothra Ambassador of India to Kuwait. Br. Siddeeque Valeeyakath (President, FIMA), Dr. Mohamed Haithem, Chairman, Kuwait-Indo Forum), and more than 1000 people have attended in this Mega Event also many high level diplomats and dignitaries from different communities have adorned this function. This Event was sponsored by M/s Al-Yasra Food Co. and TVS Air Sea Cargo & Travel Services, Kuwait.
The program started at 4:00 p.m with recitation of verses from Holy Quran by Moulana Moulavi Qari Mohamed Anas, Prof. Mazhahirul Uloom Arabic College, Salem , TN , India . Brother A. Hidayathulla, Vice-President, TMCA initiated the program and staged the Master of ceremony. Brother Avoor A. Basheer Ahmed (General Secretary, TMCA) welcomed all the participants and special guests and pointed out the importance of TMCA Data Bank Brother N.A.M Abdul Aleem (President, TMCA) presided over the program and delivered Presidential address. He highlighted the importance of TMCA conducting this special Iftar program and TMCA’s various other activities.
Our special Guest, Moulavi Syed Ali Baaqavi B.Com delivered special address stating that Fasting is the real cure to all human problems in all angles such as health, stress etc., proven scientifically especially with current prospective of human life. Our special Guest, Moulavi Ibrahim Jamaali B.B.A., highlighting the importance of Fasting and reading holy Quran and benefits of Lailat-ul-Qadr stressing to maintain unity and solidarity within our Umma.
Br. Siddeeque Valeeyakath (President, FIMA) and Dr. Mohamed Haithem delivered the special address. H.E Shri Narasinga Rao (Counsellor, Embassy of India) delivered his Esteemed Oratory felicitating this grand Iftar program and he briefly explained various activities done by Embassy of India to the welfare of Indian community.
H.E Shri Narasing Rao (Counsellor, Embassy of India) honoured the Sponsors by presenting mementos for their excellent contribution and support towards cultural activities in the presence of TMCA Executive Committee.
On behalf of TMCA, Br. Lucky Sulaiman Batcha (Managing Director, Lucky Printing Press), TMCA Advisor and supporter honoured Mr. K. Narasing Rao, Br. Siddeeque Valeeyakath, Dr. Mohamed Haithem, TVS Group Janab Rasheed Khan (Son in Law of Alhaj Hyder Ali), and former Presidents of TMCA – Br. Abdul Kader (Delhi Basha), Br. R. Mohamed Farook, Br. M.A.J. Mohamed Iqbal and Br. AlMass Musthafa recognizing and appreciating their restless efforts to bring TMCA to the forefront of all and to Moulavi, Qari Br. Mohamed Anas who recited holy verses from the noble Quran.
Finally Br. Alwany Abdul Razack (Deputy General Secretary, TMCA) delivered Vote of thanks. He expressed sincere gratitude for all the participants and the Chief Guests. Iftar Banquet and Dinner was served to everyone.
