Kuwait Muthamizh Aringar Narpani Mandram hosted the Pongal & Tamil New Year at Ruchi Restaurant, Abbasiya in Kuwait on 14/01/2011 at 5.00 PM. The program was honored by the Chief Guest Eng. Senthamizh Arasu (President, Tamilnadu Engineering Forum).
Mr. M. Rajasekar (Manager-Faisal Al Qatami Steel Co.) presided the function and Mr. E. M. Hanifa, Eng. Sekar, Eng. Raman were present on dais. Welcome speech delivered by Sheikh Adam (Secretary) and the program was convened by Mrs. Radika Selvam (Treasurer).
The program was well organized by Mr. K. Jayabalan (President) in such a way that other Tamil Associations in Kuwait were participated and delivered a short speech on topic of Pongal & Tamil Cultural by Dr. K.S Anwar Batcha (Kuwait Quaid-e-Millath Forum), Mr. Tamil Nadaan (Pongu Tamil), Mr. Anbarasu (Taaiman Kalai Elakkiya Peravai), Mr. Louis Rozario and Kavingar Vidaya Sagar, Kavingar Kavisai Sekar, Kavingar Krishnamoorthy, Kavingar Zuvairiya Sheikh Adam were presented the Lyrics of Pongal Festival.
Among the prominent attendees of the meeting was Al Mass Mustafa, Mr. Shajahan, Mr. Selvam, Mr. Rajendran, Dr. Paul Manual, Karaikal Mr. S.M.Arif Maricar, Mr. Zahir Husain, Mr. Gopal and many audiences inclusive of families, important personals visited and made the program grand success.
The program concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. K. Natarajan (Vice-President) followed by Dinner.
