Indian scientist bags Scientific Achievement Award from Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research


Indian scientist Dr S Neelamani bags the prestigious Scientific Achievement Award with No. 1 Rank from Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). The award was presented to Dr. S. Neelamani by the Minister for Higher Education for Kuwait Dr Mudhi Al-Humoud on Monday June 7th in a colourful function held at KISR. Award was given to top 20 scientists selected from a panel of about 200 scientists from KISR for their contribution for the Research and Development performance, innovation, publications at reputed international journals and conferences and manpower training in the area of scientific research.


Dr. S. Neelamani hails from Chennai, India is working as a senior research scientist with KISR since the year 2003. He completed his Masters degree from IIT Kharagpur and Doctor of Philosophy in Ocean Engineering from IIT Madras. Dr Neelamani has published many scientific research papers in Indian and International journals, has worked with many key projects in the state of Kuwait including coastline evaluation and A Submarine Pipeline Type Seawater Intake Structure at Subiya Power Plant.
